Stafford County Public Schools partners with Stafford County Fire & Rescue in Operation Warm Coats for Kids Campaign

Through generous donations, collaboration and teamwork, Stafford County Fire & Rescue will provide new warm winter coats to Stafford students in need this winter. Operation Warm Coats for Kids believes that the gift of a new coat provides more than physical warmth; it warms the heart of a child, lifts their spirits and shows them they’re valuable and they matter. A new coat helps students make their journey to school even on the coldest of days and inspires hope in a dignified way.

During the next few weeks, Stafford Schools will gather information and provide Stafford County Fire & Rescue the size, type/color, and quantity of coats needed for our students. Because cold weather is just around the corner, these coats will be delivered to Stafford County Schools by the Fire & Rescue Department on October 28, 2015.
For additional information on the program, please visit the Stafford County Fire & Rescue website at: www.staffordfirerescue.com and www.coats-for-kids.org. Stafford County families may contact their child’s school counselor to be placed on the list for a coat.
